Solar Pool Blankets
To install your solar pool blanket, lay the blanket,
bubble side to the water. Flatten out all air bubbles
so that the blanket sits flat on the water. With someone
holding blanket in position, and using a pair of scissors,
cut the edge of the blanket so that it sits flat on the
water with about 75mm rising up the side of the pool (without
exceeding the top edge of the pool).
If required, you can cut the blanket back to the waterline,
however, wait 2-3 days after initial cut for it to settle
down. The blanket can shrink in the first couple of days,
so do not cut too short initially.
Solar Reel Systems - Expandable Type
Roller
Extend the roller out evenly so that it is approx. 300mm
wider than the widest point of the pool. Lock the sections
in place by installing the three stainless steel self-tapping
screws equal distance around the centre tube, 100mm in
from the end, for each side. Tap the axle holder into
each end of the roller, (do not hit the axle). Using the
indicator marks on the outside of the axle holder, install
the three screws on each end, 35mm in from the outside
of the axle holder. With your roller sitting at right
angles to the pool, and evenly centred, find the centre
of the roller and drill a hole with the 6mm drill bit
provided. Measure out 600mm from each side and drill on
the same centreline. Continue this procedure until you
have reached the outside of your pool. Hammer in the feather
plugs. Clip in both hand wheels to the axle holder. Clip
the leg to the roller foot. Slide the leg onto the aluminium
axle, ensuring that the extended section on the leg top
is facing the handwheel. Hammer in the end plugs on each
end of the roller. Wrap one end of the cord around the
feather plug and pull gently into place (the cords will
self lock into the feather plug). In line with each feather
plug, punch a hole in the blanket with the punch provided.
Install the eyelets by placing the male section on the
ground, place the blanket on top, place the female section
on the top of that and gently hammer together. Tie the
centre cord to the blanket. Then, working from the centre
again, tie the other cords to the blanket. Place the overcover
on the roller and cut to length. Fix the overcover in
place with the three elastic straps provided.
Castors
To install castors on the foot of the roller, line up
the pin to the cast hole and simply press clip in. To
apply the brake, rotate the brake lever so the cam applies
pressure on to the castor. To release the brake, rotate
the lever in the opposite direction.
